8. Construction Services Terms
When you engage Sweet Bonanza Construction for construction services:
Quote & Estimate
- Quotes are estimates only and not binding unless a contract is executed
- Quotes are valid for 30 days from issuance date
- Actual costs may vary based on unforseen conditions, change orders, or project modifications
Project Contract
- A detailed construction contract will be provided outlining scope, timeline, costs, and terms
- Both parties must sign the contract before work begins
- All changes to the project scope require written change orders
Safety & Compliance
- We comply with all applicable safety regulations and building codes
- Clients are responsible for obtaining necessary permits (unless specified in contract)
- We maintain comprehensive insurance coverage
Warranty
- Workmanship is guaranteed for one (1) year from project completion
- Material defects are covered under manufacturers' warranties
- Warranty does not cover damage from improper maintenance, modification, or abuse
9. Refund Policy
Deposit Refunds
- Deposits are non-refundable once work has commenced
- If you cancel prior to work commencement, deposits may be refunded less any administrative costs (up to 10%)
- Cancellations must be provided in writing at least 30 days prior to scheduled start date
Quote Requests
- Quote requests and estimates are provided free of charge
- No refund is applicable as quotes are complimentary
Service Cancellation
- Cancellations made more than 60 days before project start: Full refund of deposit
- Cancellations made 30-60 days before project start: 50% refund of deposit
- Cancellations made less than 30 days before project start: No refund of deposit
- Cancellations after project commencement: No refund, payment for work completed is due
Change Orders & Overages
- Additional charges for change orders or scope expansions are due upon invoice
- No refunds for upgrades or premium materials selected by client
10. Payment Terms
Payment Schedule
- Initial deposit (typically 25-33%) required upon contract execution
- Progress payments due upon completion of project phases as specified in contract
- Final payment due upon project completion and client acceptance
Payment Methods
- Check, ACH transfer, credit card, or other agreed methods

Late Payment
- Late payments may accrue interest at 1.5% per month or the maximum allowed by law
- Failure to pay may result in project suspension or contract termination
11. Project Modifications
Change Orders
- Any changes to the original project scope must be documented in writing as a change order
- Change orders must include revised cost estimate and timeline impact
- Both parties must approve and sign the change order before proceeding
- Change orders may result in additional costs and extended timelines
Unforeseen Conditions
- Hidden structural issues, soil conditions, or other unforeseen factors may require change orders
- We will notify you immediately and provide a revised estimate before proceeding
12. Dispute Resolution
Informal Resolution
- Any disputes will first be addressed through good-faith negotiation between parties
- Contact our office within 30 days of dispute occurrence
Mediation
- If negotiation fails, either party may request non-binding mediation
- Mediator costs will be split equally between parties
Governing Law
- These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflicts of law principles
- Jurisdiction shall be exclusively in the state and federal courts located in Harris County, Texas
